World's richest woman: "Drink less, work more"

She stated the obvious and is being viciously demonized for it. Great example of the "mobbing" FringeElements talked about in his documentary, where people twist everything someone says into something evil.

Meanwhile, she's being attacked for having inherited money, the fact of the matter is if she wasn't a good steward of that money, it'd all be gone.

Instead, according to Wikipedia, she was worth $1.8 billion in 2006, now she's worth $29.17 billion just 6 years later, despite the financial crisis. Compare that to any government the world over and then tell me how important it is to have "inherited" your wealth, the U.S. government "inherits" (see: steals) trillions of dollars a year, yet it all gets burned on socialism and killing people. Their investments are all Solyndra's.

To make money you have to produce value for consumers and get them to give you their money voluntarily, that's how markets work. Of course, all these parasites attacking her make their living robbing workers through taxation and live parasitically off the general populace they rule over, they're the out of touch ones who ought to be ashamed of themselves, though they tend to be sociopaths devoid of human emotion, so it's understandable they don't give a damn. - Chris, InfoLib

The fact that the super-rich are getting even more super-rich, while everybody else are losing there life-savings are due to the fact that
'we drink to much' ? To much what, Cristal or Chateau Margaux ??

You think the Oz government didn't give her a helping hand or maybe
you think shes spending all her time underground in the mines, digging out all the billions from the dirt, all on her own ?

Um, first off the super rich are not "getting even more rich," most of them lost a ton of money in the 08 crash and are only now recovering (thanks to the state flooding the markets w/ cash) she happened to have been in mining and clearly was serving her market so she profited hugely thanks to the commodities boom, why does that make her a bad person?

She's employing tons of people, she doesn't need to dig the dirt all her own because her parents did that before her and created an empire which she inherited, do you think parents have no right to give their children their wealth?

Is she bad because she inherited money?

If she lost it all, would you still be attacking her?

I don't know if the oz government helped her, I do know they're actively robbing her of likely 50% of her profits and soon with the mining tax, which was hugely opposed yet passed regardless, they will be robbing her of even more. Of course, the same goes for all her employees, who would be getting part of that money in the form of reinvestment leading to even higher salaries and more demand for their services.

I do know the government sure as hell doesn't deserve her money.

Meanwhile, you say "everybody else" is losing their life-savings, that's not due to their drinking too much but the government which you love so much robbing them blind through inflation, taxation, regulation, and war.

The crash was the fault of central planning by the world's central banks, this woman had nothing to do with it.

whats that saying "if you want to know what god thinks of money, look who he gives it to". I mean that tongue and cheek but in this instance its hard not to believe it has some truth to it. Seriously chris this woman is a disgrace of a human being in so many many ways, she's even been swindling her own children out of their trust fund set up by there grandfather.

She is a wonderful example of exactly why we shouldn't want an unfettered free-market. Her recent attempts to bias the editorial content of a major news outlet to support her mining interests is typical of what some powerful elite do in this market place and will do more so in total free markets.

Also she herself should be the last one to preach to us aussies about 'rightful living'. She is a majorly obese angry person.

And one more thing thats crucial here. Who owns those resources she has made her billions from(thanks to daddy). Why should we the Australian people not be able to say that although she has a lease for development, that the resources she digs up are primarily ours and not singularly hers.

In fact she knew this to be the case before development, all thats going on now is a spoilt rich girl playing out selfish power plays with her money so she doesn't have to pay a LITTLE more tax. Actually she should have to pay alot more tax to support the military that defends her LEASE from being overtaken by powers in the north.

Real World politics chris, that your freemarket DREAMS don't account for.

Really you 'unfettered free-marketers' folk have really got to work out exactly what private property is and what you believe it should be and then test your theory out on the public and see if they want it. My guess is that the vast majority will never want it because its just not good enough to cover most peoples wishes.
Your man in the zeitghiest imitation movie attempts to prove some private property ideals, but for me they only begged more questions and hardly looked realistic.
