No Traffic Lights Vs Traffic Lights

Anarchy vs Statism.

"On Monday 25th January 2010 there was a power cut in Auckland.

During the power cut we filmed this intersection (Union St + Wellington). We filmed again at exactly the same time the next day for a comparison. "

70178 this is stupid and does not prove a single thing at all...

for this to have proved something there would at least have to be as many cars traveling the road during the blackout period...

this isn't.

what this most likely means is that there is a traffic jam SOMEWHERE ELSE.

10977 fuck traffic lights, they hold up traffic when there is no need, a person with eyes and cop-on can tell wen it is safe to cross a road better that a stupid machine can , if you cant, then you shouldn't be in the fucking driver seat.
I refuse to obey traffic lights, they piss me off. why should i sit at a junction at 2 in the morning to let cars pass that aren't even there?

roundabouts please,
lights for pedestrians - fine.

72223 Traffic signals are much more costly than is commonly realized, even though they represent a sound public investment when justified. A modern signal can cost taxpayers between $150,000 and $250,000 to install depending on the complexity of the intersection and the characteristics of the traffic using it.

On top of this, there is a perpetual cost which is almost never considered - the cost of the electrical power consumed in operating a signalized intersection 24 hours a day, and the associated maintenance costs. These costs can be $1,000 to $2,000 a year.

i see this as bragging. the societal engineers must be getting a laugh from this video; we're so mind-f----ed, we unconsciously follow their "rules."

the headline would have you believing this is "anarchy," when it's not at all. i see 2 unconscious programming messages in this video.
