A new ban that forbids nightclubs and skating rinks makes a Florida town seem like the set of Footloose. The Weston, Florida city council permanently banned social venues like dance halls and nightclubs because of safety and quality of life concerns. Nine shootings took place near nightclubs in southern Florida last year, and there have been five deaths in such shootings since 2002. 'Safety is always our number one priority for our residents and everyone in our city,' City Commissioner Jim Norton told ABC News via email.
