Man At Bar Ribs Cop 'Aw, You Suck At Darts,' Cop Responds 'I Can Do Whatever I Want,' Pulls Out Gun & Executes Him

Chris | InformationLiberation

A man at a bar in Murrieta, California ribbed an off-duty cop that he 'suck[ed] at darts,' the cop, 42-year-old Dayle Long, reportedly responded by pulling out a gun and executing him in front of a shocked crowd in an incident one man described as 'the most horrific scene I've seen in my entire life.' reports:
Chris Hull, a 39-year-old Temecula resident, said he was inside the bar and saw the shooting happen.

Hull said he witnessed a man walking up while Hull and a group of friends were playing darts. The man reportedly identified himself as an off-duty cop and started a discussion with the group about darts.

“We were playing darts, and he says 'I’m better at darts than you are,”' Hull said.

“My buddy says, ‘Aw, you suck at darts.’ (The man) says, ‘That’s why I’m a cop, I can do whatever I want to do.’”

Hull said his friend, identified only as Danny, asked the man, “Really, you can do anything?” The man then pulled out his gun, Hull said, and after the group repeatedly asked him to put it away he “pops three rounds into my friend Sam.”

Hull identified his friend as Sam Venettes. He didn't answer a request for Vanette's age or hometown, but said he was a "hardworking guy" who "works three jobs."

Police have not released any information on the name of the victim.

"I just watched the most horrific scene I've seen in my entire life," Hull told Patch.

"This is the worst day of my life."
It should be noted, the cop was a 10-year veteran of the force.

69129 He will get away with it as well. you watch. the laws apply only to the slave class. (anyone not working for the state). he will be said to have followed proper procedure and will be given administrative paid leave( a paid vacation for a reward). They will say that their little black book on how to deal with the peasants of this country give them the right to do what he did.

there will be no justice for the peasants. the only justice will be what they administer themselves. don't look to your masters to hold their servants accountable, it is never going to happen. time to abolish the whole mess. one way or the other. many more will die at the hands of the state and its henchmen until people start learning to say NO MORE!

69129 How many people were in the bar? why didn't they tackle this creep and give him his just rewards? what ever happened to a good old fashioned lynching? why were the people standing around like sheep, bleeting about it but not stampeding this creep and ensuring he cannot murder again.

2417 Another tell-tale sign. Reminds me of an eBook I read recently. One of its main precepts is that to the average person on the street, at their job, or in this case at the bar, the revolution will just seem to explode as if out of nowhere. Thanks for posting, I will share this. For anyone who is curious, "American Epitaph" by Damien Darby is the name. Peace and stay vigilant.

67172 Not all cops are like this. Dont sterotype jus tbe casue of one idiot.

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 12:16 PM

72211 People didn't do anything because the guy had a gun. And gun=bad news. Also, I'm sure they were horrified from what they saw and didn't dare provoke him any more.
That being said, this is what happens when we give police or the government, for that matter too much power.

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 12:29 PM

96244 No, this is what happens when you give the OWNERS of the government too much power. The reason we need to rise up and make the government of, by, and for the PEOPLE again!!!

7175 ...heh heh heh...

...and here come the "not all cops are like this" apologist. Yet we read story after story of police abuse day after day, with steadily increasing frequency and egregiousness.

But remember, not all cops are like this. As a citizen, you cant tell the difference between the psychopaths and the indifferent good guys, so you just have to hope you don't get unlucky.

Because apparently, since not all cops are like this, we aren't allowed to do anything about it to any cops.

166250 Guns do not belong in bars, period! I know the gun-lovers will disagree, but more and more states are allowing guns in bars - guns and alcohol do not mix. What possible good comes from a drunk with a gun????? I totally hope they throw the book at this guy......for the shooting and for the reason he got into law enforcement - so that he could do anything he wants. I understand that many if not most get in for the right reason, but folks like this psychopath need to be weeded out.

67180 I'm sure the officer in question will be completely exonerated and likely commended for his excellent police work.

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 1:13 PM

10817 Perhaps Cops shouldn't be allowed in bars?

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 1:17 PM

69131 yes you do read about cops going bad all the times. Thats what the media reports BECAUSE THATS WHAT SELLS. You will never see the cop who jumped into a river and saved a little girl, Or the cop who heard a struggle and saved a woman from being raped and or murdered on the news. Because people LIKE YOU don't care. You just want someone to blame and complain about.

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 1:20 PM

2484 Tell that to the person who was executed - oh wait, you can't.

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 1:22 PM

68109 @Anonymous 69129: Do you really expect unarmed people to jump a cop with a gun? I'm sure of course you would since you're such a brave person and not a "sheeple"... But then we'd have one more death to worry about.

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 1:22 PM

2317 This is bullshit. I hate cops like this. People like this shouldn't even be allowed to be cops, because the whole reason that they become a cop, is cause they think they can just push people around, be above the law, and do whatever they want, which is not true! If anything, a cop should be the person who obeys the law even MORE! This cop should serve life in prison, for first degree murder!

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 1:25 PM

166250 I love good cop stories, and have seen many of them. I have always respected and admired the profession. But, you really can't blame the media for reporting this story - it is newsworthy, and hopefully might come to some good in the form of internal investigations within the department. Anyone who is charged with carrying a gun as part of his/her job, should be held to a very high standard.

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 1:42 PM

17358 I guess that this cop passed his psychological profile exam with flying colors? 1. He's violent. CHECK. 2. He has a need to be in charge. CHECK 3. He has a hair trigger. CHECK 4. He will be a menace on the streets. CHECK, Double CHECK.

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 1:57 PM

7616 the best part is the police force in america condones this type of "i can do whatever i want" attitude. Id be surprised if he got life in prison or the death sentence, but hes a cop so there is no way he will get what he deserves

Posted: Dec 24 2011, 2:27 PM

76185 If his aim with the darts were only as good as his aim with the gun, this tragedy could have been avoided.
