Video: Texas Judge William Adams Beats His Daughter for Using the Internet

This video appears to have been held secretly since 2004, it was just released on YouTube by the Judge's daughter who is the victim, the abuser in this case is still an actively "serving" Judge, you can see his picture here on the county's website.

This video is going super-viral and is currently on the front page of reddit, the daughter in the video appears to have posted it there as well.

What's striking about this video is how there still exists backward savages who consider this clear child abuse "discipline." Using violence against a child is child abuse, it doesn't matter what excuses are given. Using violence against a child to get your way in an argument teaches children to use violence against other people to get their way in an argument, not to mention the psychological scarring of being abused by your "protector," "for your own good."

How appropriate that this abusive tyrant is a supposed "public servant."

2004: Aransas County Court-At-Law Judge William Adams took a belt to his own teenage daughter as punishment for using the internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time. She has had ataxic cerebral palsy from birth that led her to a passion for technology, which was strictly forbidden by her father's backwards views. The judge's wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge's wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day, and has sincerely apologized and repented for her part and for allowing such a thing, long before this video was even revealed to exist. Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can't even exercise fit judgement as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to ever be re-elected again. His "judgement" is a giant farce. Signed, Hillary Adams, his daughter.
Note, she says "as punishment for using the internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time." That indicates to me this may have been punishment for "illegally" downloading some music and video games, a total non-crime, but a non-crime which the state violently enforces through "law" (a.k.a. uniformed thugs with guns).

Perhaps every child who suffers under the same type abuse should secretly videotape it and put it on the internet. It might serve to check abusive parents' powers just a bit the same way videotaping cops has helped deal with police abuse.

Update: Here's what the Judge has to say for himself: "In my mind I have not done anything wrong other than discipline my child when she was caught stealing."
