WikiLeaks cable: U.S. troops executed handcuffed children, called air-strike to destroy evidence

Chris | InformationLiberation

Now might be a good time to scratch the "support the troops" bumper sticker off your car.

McClatchy Newspapers reports:
A U.S. diplomatic cable made public by WikiLeaks suggests that U.S. troops executed at least 10 Iraqi civilians, including a woman in her 70s and a 5-month-old infant, then called in an airstrike to destroy the evidence, during a controversial 2006 incident in the central Iraqi town of Ishaqi.

The unclassified cable, which was posted on WikiLeaks’ website last week, contained questions from a United Nations investigator about the incident, which had angered local Iraqi officials, who demanded some kind of action from their government. U.S. officials denied at the time that anything inappropriate had occurred.

But Philip Alston, the UN’s special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, said in a communication to American officials dated 12 days after the March 15, 2006, incident that autopsies performed in the Iraqi city of Tikrit showed that all the dead had been handcuffed and shot in the head. Among the dead were four women and five children. The children were all 5 years old or younger.

72158 I thought Wikileaks was a front for the alphabets...

During the Vietnam War, men thought for themselves.
They knew the difference between right and wrong. And many had the balls to stand up for whats right. Its documented.
If it wasn't for them, we'd probably still be in that war too. THINK.

691're sort of right. The War in Vietnam ended because the Illuminati (Rothschilds and Rockefellers) wanted it ended. It's really that simple.

9870 ummmm, NOT....

The majority of this country protested... everywhere.

Our soldiers protested, many were jailed for years....

What is YOUR generation doing?

72158 @9870....

uhm, not NOT...nothing happens without the approval of the military industrial C. Wright Mills' "The Power Elite." He was the intellectual godfather of the New Left - the radicals in the 60s.

you correctly state that we as a nation stood up, and that was great, but the protest movements, hippies and yippies were infiltrated by the "alphabet organizations" to promote discord to change American's values

74235 The alphabet is always involved, I agree.

My point was THE PEOPLE stood up, made their voices heard loud and clear.... alphabet or not, you cannot have a war if the people refuse to fight, cause sure as shit, ain't no politician or his family going to risk their own lives....

But they have no problem risking yours and mine.

We are surrounded AGAIN, by illegal bullshit wars of greed in which the children of the planet are killed to put more money in the pockets of the elite.

War does NOT equal peace.
PEACE means NO war.

They couldn't get away with it without our cooperation.
There are far more of us than them....

72158 "They couldn't get away with it without our cooperation."

EXACTLY!!! And how do they get us to cooperate? By brainwashing us through the television and other forms of media. It's on tv so it must be true, right? There are no conspiracies, those are for "nuts," right? Who sends out these messages? The same people who lie to us...
I'm not suggesting that people should not take a stand, but it's effectiveness will only go so far...the middle east stuff with the "flashmobs" and cells phones were a test run for future reference.
as the frog boils

108111 I love the TV stuff I gave up on the box 30 some odd years ago. but the brainwashing goes on in so many ways. One of the big ones is only being part of the story by the gubment. they leave us to assume the rest and prod us along in other ways to say "all hail the USA, or the bankers, or whatever the gubment stooge said>
