This Is Your War on Drugs

by Radley Balko, The Agitator

We have another video of a raid by the Columbia Police Department. The action starts at 5:30. Thereís more violence. More perfunctory dog killing. (I didnít hear a single menacing growl, and the dogs were shot while retreating.) Thereís more careless tossing of flash grenades. (They threw five three, then, bizarrely, two more to prove that the previous three grenades had done no damage.) This raid, once again, was for marijuana.

99117 This is exactly why drugs (all drugs) should be legalized and taxed! I'm much more afraid of the police "serving me a warrant" than my local neighborhood drug dealer!

After watching this very disturbing video, I think I will reinforce the doors on my house and purchase a .50 cal machine gun.

@99117, "this is exactly why drugs (all drugs) should be legalized and taxed!
I agree with your first opinion, that all drugs should be legalized. I disagree with your opinion, that drugs should be "taxed."

Your claim that drugs should be "taxed," will not rid you of police, but in fact, subject you to a higher level of law enforcement; the I.R.S. and Federal Police.
There are other, foreseeable implications, that would arise with the taxing of "illegal" drugs, for example: more government-employed-police, more I.R.S. agents, the corruption that comes along with the employing of "more police," and the list goes on.....

Good luck with your purchasing of .50 cal machine gun, or any gun for that matter. If you've posted on this site, you've likely rescinded your right to bear arms.

67159 There IS no war on drugs. If there was, certain states wouldn't be getting away with what they're doing. The government isn't serious about the drug problem. If it was, it would really be DOING something.
