Police arrest man INSIDE his house for taking cell phone video of traffic stop

"There are police who use the badge to bully, and I believe that's who I met."
Chris | InformationLiberation

Wow, this video is scary. The man is recording some police officers from his own garage and some thug cop out of nowhere walks up to him and tries to steal his phone under the obvious lie it's "evidence."

"I'ma take the phone... 'cuz that's gonna be evidence... (Man refuses)... You want to go to jail?... Withholding evidence."

It's clear from the way he's acting it's pure brazen intimidation and thuggery.

CBS reports:
VALLEJO (CBS 5) The Vallejo Police Department is under scrutiny after a man was handcuffed and cited for recording four people being arrested near his home. [...]

While Duchine was recording, Officer Scott Yates approached and asked for his cell phone, saying it was evidence. After Duchine refused, he was handcuffed and issued a ticket for obstructing justice. Video of the incident was then posted on YouTube.

The article claims police "may be backing down."
But police may be backing down. Duchine said he was recently contacted by Internal Affairs, asking that he may be interviewed for their investigation.
They don't cite any evidence to support the claim they "may backing down." Instead, it sounds like they're trying to lure him into some sort of scam to have him talk without a lawyer, that's hugely problematic, no way in hell should he talk with these criminals.

75222 It is time to establish armed volunteer police forces across the country to respond to criminal acts and to protect citizens against the increasingly tyrannical government.

The first weapon this group should obtain are video streaming devices that pump video directly to the web from helmet cams. The second weapon is a uniform to identify them. The third weapon are guns: each member will be required to have a CHL and pack heat.

Thugs like this one are afraid of their own shadows and will back down under threat of greater numbers.

By default, all cops are bad. They all work for a system that has made YOU the ENEMY. Do you think they are here to protect and serve? Sure! PROTECT the STATE [and politicians} and SERVE themselves to the loot.
Do some research on your heroes. If only 20% are corrupt [underestimate], so are the other 80%, because some time or another they will know of, or work with the others. Should any of the 80% of the "good" cops have knowledge of the others being corrupt, and do NOTHING to correct the situation, they are culpable as well.

Read and understand
-----

United States Code 18
Part 1 Chapter 1 4

4. Misprision of felony

Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
-----
This does not include the cops only...it includes every one of you. If you see one of them donut-scarfing scum abusing another, you have an obligation to do what the Code says.

Thankyouverymuch

98215 Police in America are racists, if he was white he would of been called sir and allowed to do whatever he wants in his property.

FBI should investigate this, thank G-d the feds watch these local idiot cops. Everyone just call the FBI and complain when you see things like this eventually they will come and look and get ops fired trust me i've had like 6 cops fired for this type of bs. It takes time, but use the feds against the locals, thats why the locals hate the feds. The feds are way more accountable and really the rivalry helps get things done. LOCAL police are the scum of the earth. I rather live with criminals, at least criminals are honest enough to call themselves thugs and thieves. COPS SUCK! Cops should die or be sent to guantanamo. LOCAL POLICE ARE THE BIGGEST WASTE OF TAX PAYER DOLLRS EVER! All they do is get sued, give parking tickets, and allow real criminals to prosper since most cops are cowrds who rather mess with teenagers smoking dope than rapists or murderers

COPS SCUM!

99172 I agree that the cop was out of line and that the guy should file a complaint or something. But were the hell did he learn to use a camera? Did he even look at the phone to see how it was recording?

What do you know about war? Are you old enough to remember the LA Riots? Human beings in general are despicable, unintelligent pieces of sh!t--so confining your radical view of "the enemy" to police officers is a bit off its mark.

I agree civil rights are infringed upon and are encroached, but I think this whole "us vs. them" is an outdated and frankly narrow-minded approach.

And revolution? Who are you kidding.

173104 Only YOU can defend your Constitutional and God given rights. Arm yourself; a criminal is determined by their actions, no matter what they are wearing, if they have a badge or what they are saying.

A good day will be when citizens hold all criminals to account. Arm yourself; if a criminal police officer is using the threat of deadly force to commit a CRIME against you or another citizen, stop the criminal in his tracks.

A criminal is a criminal.

5046 132178: Yes, "most" cops just do their job. But it's becoming clear that the ones who abuse their position are not just "a few bad apples." There are too many incidents like this that we're hearing about -- which means there are many more that never come to light because nobody was there to film it.

We need to be more and more vigilant to let cops know that this is not acceptable and the public won't stand for it.

9971 I got in trouble with the law about 8 years ago. Got on a home detention bracelet so I got to know these home detention cops. Wouldn't you know, 7 years later, those fuckers showed up at my door just to taunt me for fun. I hadn't committed a crime and had been a free man for 7 years and those fuckers are still harassing me. You people have a lot to learn about police in the USA...well, some of you do.

8516 To be fair, the cop has a legit point. I think it's kinda mean and an asshole move to record people getting arrested with the intention to post it on youtube. The cop was probably just trying to protect the last bit of dignity left to the four lawbreakers, it just came out wrong.

9887 The justice system is anything but. Bush and Obama have burnt through our bill of rights and our constitution, we live in an undeclared state of Marshall Law that is only now starting to be realized. Get out while you still can.....

Hmmmmm...so you think it is OK for cops to harass and injure people without accountability? Without people with cameras and the world-wide display of their abuses on YouTube, those varmints will continue with their power trips without any punishment.
Hooray for the the "mean assholes" who have the cameras and record those morons.

70137 I personally know many Law enforcement officers and to all of you whom say that you are over joyed when a cop is killed simply need to die. theres no reason for your drunk anarchist ass to live.

Most police officers I know are very nice and respectful people i have met about 3 that shouldn't be in the profession, but thats three out of many and like i said all the idiots bashing cops and wishing them dead need to play chicken with a loaded shotgun..

76171 I don't know if most Cops are bad. I know bad ones, but the good ones seem scared of them. Good Cops need to get bad Cops fired. The sooner the better. The public is beginning to hate all Cops for the Bad behavior. That will be bad for Everybody when the hatred boils over everywhere.
