"You're a coward, hiding behind your badge" -- Judge rules in favor of man arrested for telling cop the truth

Chris | InformationLiberation

A cop learns you can't arrest and charge people with impunity for made up crimes.

The Boston Globe reports:
“You’re a coward, hiding behind your badge,’’ Kinney said Nuon yelled as he stood outside the house. “Get off my property.’’

Kinney arrested Nuon on charges of disorderly conduct, forcing him to spend several hours in a city jail. The following week, the charges were dismissed, but Nuon, a community activist who disputes Kinney’s account, said he was infuriated and humiliated. He filed a complaint, alleging the arrest was without probable cause, and a federal judge this month agreed, finding Kinney liable for false arrest.

City officials defend the officer’s actions, but civil libertarians say the case reflects evolving attitudes about the use of disorderly conduct charges to arrest someone who is behaving aggressively or insulting an officer but not breaking any laws.

16138 Cops are nothing but the buillied who grew up and decided to get back at everybody by bullying them because they have a badge and gun. I've never met a cop in real life who did not fit this profile. Every cop I know is a coward, and I'm a 36 year old with a masters degree. So it's not like I'm some thug whose been in-and-out of jail.

98213 How does a man crash an suv into a fence with cops in close pursuit and not get dead busted nailed? I'll tell you how. The cops are cowardly pieces of shit who's only concerns are their own safety, staying out of "hot water" and hoping that the paycheck doesn't bounce.

17330 Yeah, it's easy to be brave with a badge, gun and other cops behind you.
I'd LOVE to find a cop off duty, without his back-up and see how tough he really is. But that'll never happen again, the one time it did, that little punk took off running. All cops are piece of crap cowards who hide behind their badges. I'm an 11 year ex-con. Who would you bet on?

17330 No wonder why people hate the police. Modern law enforcement is nothing more than organized crime. But the question is, who's holding them accountable? No-one, that's who. Until we stand up in unison against these cowards, nothing will change.

I was told its under investigation.I said yeah sure it is so yes our law enforcement officials worry me. But nothing is going to change all this talk we need to do this an need to do that an that's as far as it will go. No one has the backbone to stand together as one.
