'Naked scanners': Lobbyists join the war on terror

By: Timothy P. Carney

Left out from this list is that former DHS head Michael Chertoff's "security consultant agency" has Rapiscan as one of their clients. The degradations of passing through full-body scanners that provide naked pictures of you to Transportation Security Administration agents may not mean that the terrorists have won -- but they do mark victories for a few politically connected high-tech companies and their revolving-door lobbyists.

Many experts and critics suspect that the full-body "naked scanners" recently deployed at U.S. airports do little to make us more secure, and a lot to make us angry, embarrassed and late. For instance, the scanners can't see through skin, and so weapons or explosives can be hidden safely in body cavities.

But this is government we're talking about. A program or product doesn't need to be effective, it only needs to have a good lobby. And the naked-scanner lobby is small but well-connected.

'war on terror' is doublethink

when i was pulled out by TSA staff as an identified terrorist the harrassment was real, there was not any pretense that i was really a terrorist. terrorism is terrorising for political reasons. fascism the merger between overt corporation and the state monopoly corporation, the TSA being a prime example in the US as is Reliance in the UK. both are active in torture, terrorism and during their existance we have had presentations of airport terrorism.

the bully

human psychology is such that we seek psychological stability. the bully whose life is based on trying to decide what other people do sometimes tries to justify this by telling large lies. some of the bullied become bullies, some become bullies for others justifying this by saying (having surrendered their authority) that it isn't their decision, some try to self justify surrender to the bully as an act of kindness.

government, to install itself and to maintain existence is wholly pre-occupied with attempting to render its position unchallengable.

money in circulation is being reduced, the cost of living is being increased, skills and jobs are being systematically destroyed. this is war. we are living in a world shaped by organised political actions and their consequences.

"The truth is that no modern man, in his heart of hearts, believes that it is right to invade a foreign country and hold the population down by force. Foreign oppression is a much more obvious understandable evil than economic oppression. Thus in England we tamely admit to being robbed in order to keep half a million useless eaters in luxury ..." - George Orwell (TRTWP)

marxist socialism (the ingsoc prison) is a temporary construct (asserted also by the collins oxford dictionary) to try to maintain control by trapping those that the governnent has alienated to the point of rebellion. the temporary construct being a transition from capitalism to communism for the masses, each of the isms being decided for, totalitarian and in the case of communism previously tried in russia and china.

"Meanwhile what about Socialsim?"
It hardly needs pointing out that at this moment we are in a very serious mess, so serious that even the dullest-witted people find it difficult to remain unaware of it. We are living in a world in which nobody is free, in which hardly anybody is secure, in which it is almost impossible to be honest and to remain alive" - George Orwell (TRTWP)

we are living in a world shaped by organised political actions and their consequences.

"The majority of politicians, on the evidence available to us, are interested not in truth but in power and in the maintenance of that power. To maintain that power it is essential that people remain in ignorance, that they live in ignorance of the truth, even the truth of their own lives. What surrounds us therefor is a vast tapestry of lies, upon which we feed." - Harold Pinter 2005

in Emanuel Goldstein's explanation (1984) of oligarchical collectivism (the power club) it may be noticed that he opens one chapter the same as a previous one, word for word the same. this is presumably to emulate the repetitive cycles of history, orwell notes in 'the road to wigan pier' that the marxists asserted that socialism will come to be as an 'historical necessity'.

whilst the need for people to spend much of their lives working has been technically removed political empires are based on slavery and therefore unemployment is sold as a bad thing whilst at the same time governments throughout the world try and hide the true numbers of those who are unemployed, unemployable and living below the poverty line. this when jobs are created to maintain poverty, one of the roles of government.

as the underlying reality comes into view despite the numerous distractions, everything changes for government has only control of the illusion for such time as it is profitable.

123211 (satire) Airport security must include a full psychological examination of tots due to the threat of "TERROR TOT TERMINAL TOE POINTING", a grave danger to air, as well as taxi, rail and bus passengers. Tots determined to be mentally unstable must have their feet/hands tied together and duct tape stuck on their mouth before boarding an aircraft, bus, train or taxi.
Why? At any given moment a murderous tot may point his toe/finger at someone, say "bang bang" and presto, instant death.
IMO “TERROR TOT TERMINAL TOE POINTING” is more perilous than finger pointing snuffs. Unlike finger pointing assassinations which usually leave a clean powder burn residue on the victim, tootsie pointing snuffs can leave a stinky reeking toe jam residue.
Now when police investigators arrive at the crime scene they may be put off by this and shorten or abort the investigation allowing the perpetrator of the crime to KILL AGAIN.
Ambulance attendees may refuse to transfer the corpse to the morgue and morgue technicians may refuse to process it. So the primary question is, why have our tax dollars been spent on frivolous things instead of providing crime investigative teams and those in the health departments with vital things like stink masks?

Never mind the affliction
Bopperism is the cure
