Democratic 2020 presidential candidate Rep Tulsi Gabbard said Saturday on Twitter that our leaders, beginning with President Trump, "should be serving the interests of the American people, not foreign governments -- like the theocratic dictatorship of Saudi Arabia."

"Our leaders, beginning with Pres. Trump, should be serving the interests of the American people, not foreign governments -- like the theocratic dictatorship of Saudi Arabia. Such self-serving powerful politicians are selling out America's interests for Saudi blood money. Shameless," Gabbard said.

She sent several tweets out over the past few days slamming "neocons/neolibs" for pushing for new wars in Venezuela and Iran.

National security advisor John Bolton sent out a press release on Sunday threatening Iran with war if they threaten US interests or "those of our allies":
"The United States is deploying the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and a bomber task force to the US Central Command region to send a clear and unmistakeable message to the Iranian regime that any attack on United States interests or on those of our allies will be met with unrelenting force. The United States is not seeking war with the Iranian regime. But we are fully prepared to respond to any attack, whether by proxy, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps or regular Iranian forces."
President Trump said late last year he'd like to pull out of the Middle East entirely but Israel is "one reason" to stay. Trump also said he supports the Saudis because they provide a "counterbalance to Iran" and "without them, Israel would be in a lot more trouble."
