I can't imagine why they'd want to ignore this story?!

From NewsBusters:
For much of last week, the three broadcast networks and Fox News Channel covered the story of a Baltimore police officer, Amy Caprio, who was killed when a habitual car thief ran her over as he tried to escape when she came to investigate reports of a suspicious car.

...The evening newscasts on ABC, CBS, and NBC each ran a full story, with the NBC Nightly News making it the lead story. The morning shows also followed up, with ABC's Good Morning America running a full report.
...But MSNBC completely ignored the story while CNN buried the tragic news between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Eastern in four half-minute briefs totaling just over a minute.

By contrast, when news broke late last week that bodycam footage had been released showing Milwaukee police officers overreacting and tasing NBA player Sterling Brown, both of the liberal cable new channels paid substantially more attention even though no one died. CNN gave the development more than 16 minutes while MSNBC gave it almost 20 minutes on a number of shows including CNN's New Day and MSNBC Live. In fact, both the weekday and weekend edition of New Day carried the story.
As Dems consider Baltimore a model "future" city reflective of the New America™, it's worth paying attention to how this story is playing out.

As WMAR 2 News reports, everyone involved -- from the mother of one of the assailants to AG Marilyn Mosby to the candidates running against her -- is blaming "the system" for officer Caprio's death.
