Tucker Carlson delivered an epic rant Wednesday on Fox News where he blasted the entertainment industry and the media for covering-up Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein's decades-long alleged sexual misconduct.
"His friends in the movie business and in progressive politics tend to be stunned and aghast at all of this. 'This isn't the Harvey Weinstein we knew!' they claimed an anguished interviews arranged by their publicist. It's exactly the Harvey Weinstein they knew," Tucker said.
"Most are now saying how shocked they are. Please, they all knew. A couple of them called The New York Times in 2004 on his behalf to stop an expose on his sexual harassment. They didn't know the truth then? Of course they did. Thatís why they killed the story. NBC news had the story months ago but they didn't run it," he said.
Tucker went on to note how Hollywood director Victor Salva is a convicted child molester who videotaped himself molesting a 12-year-old boy, yet he went on to be hired by Disney to direct the film Powder and later also directed the Jeepers Creepers franchise.
Tucker called on the Department of Justice to launch an investigation into this world "the police won't touch."
"It's far past time for the federal government to step in here to protect the vulnerable," Tucker said.
