Chatham County Deputy Sheriff Lt. Richard Adam “Rick” Hall on Wednesday was indicted on 25 counts of child molestation and related offenses involving minor victims. The Chatham County grand jury charges included 15 counts of child molestation, two counts of sexual exploitation of children, three counts of aggravated child molestation, one count of aggravated sexual battery and five counts of violation by a public officer for conduct while he was a “deputy sheriff of Chatham County.” Hall, a 28-year veteran described by a prosecutor as the “quintessential Pied Piper of young boys” during a recent bond hearing, remained in the Chatham County jail without bond Wednesday.
