Bill would impose 95% tax on e-cigarettes

They look, feel and can taste like cigarettes, and now Washington lawmakers are seeking to tax them like cigarettes, too. A growing trend, e-cigarettes are popular with people looking to kick their smoking habit.

Democrats in the state House included a 95 percent tax on vapor products such as e-cigarettes as part of their supplemental budget package, released on Wednesday. In response, business owners from around the state assembled in Olympia to protest the proposed tax rate.

10842 As if one were to need any more proof that government wants to kill you...

e-smokes weren't factored into hell-care.

due to the e-cigarette, one's 'will to live' has screwed up the probability program, as to when one was 'supposed to die.' Because of this reason, I foresee lots of mathematicians, and, computer programmers, working overtime.

To the 90's-era program / robot, who's posted above me up there^, "Nickel's 2bits" taxes are paid to the government. "Yes," the government is "debilitating," but it's your choice whether or not you pay for their control.

As for your question: "what to do?" I'll watch the news for the next 2 days, and I'll tell you precisely, what "you" will do.

7147 This is a tax you actually do not have to pay. To avoid paying it, all you have to do is not e-smoke; which (believe it or not) is something that you actually do not need to do to live. Whatever your opinion of other taxes, this one is purely at your whim.

Of course, a lot of people trust the e-smoke companies, who are telling them e-smokes are safe; the same companies that spent 100 years telling us all that tobacco smoking was safe (or even beneficial) as a billion!! people!! died!! from tobacco-smoking related diseases.

I have zero sympathy for people who pay taxes on tobacco products, and just as much sympathy for people who pay taxes on e-smokes. If you're willing to END YOUR LIFE for a smoke then the tax is probably cheap enough for you to pay it in silence.
