7th-grader suspended for having gun keychain

COVENTRY, R.I. - A 12-year-old boy was suspended from a Coventry middle school after his parents said he brought a small gun keychain to school.

Joseph Lyssikatos said the keychain was in his backpack at Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School on Thursday when it fell out. A classmate picked it up and started showing it to other students.

A teacher confiscated it and before Joseph knew it, he was suspended.

“This boy was the one waving it or showing it to other kids. Not Joseph. Joseph wasn’t doing that so why weren’t both of them reprimanded,” said Bonnie Bonanno, Joseph’s mother.

7521 Note that the mom does not mind the suspension, only hoped that it would be applied to another student. The bitch does agree that this was a violation. Probably was in the first ranks of those who were demanding "safety for their children" in form of this very zero tolerance policy.

@7521, each time I read the phrase: "zero tolerance," I'm struck by doublethink. (Well, at this point, it's more like a b/s filter, rather than "doublethink" but, for comprehensive purposes I will use the term).

Deflecting blame, is a "life-by-comparison" tactic; brought about by the fictitious hierarchy we've been fashioned into.

You're calling the mom a "bitch," why?

I disagree with all the "0" tolerance nonsense, for the reason, that chickens are easier to shoot, if they're kept in a cage; (life in America, for example.)
