Very deceptively worded poll. "Would you object to xyz at airport security" could mean would you object to the existence of such things at airport security, obviously most people would say no. It could also mean would you personally say no to being scanned/groped if you were presented the option. Regardless, a 2008 Gallup poll reported only 44% of the American public had actually flown in the last year and only 7% had taken more than 4 flights in the past year, so only about half of Americans have been subjected to the TSA's tyranny.
